Hi everyone,
I just made this repair but now my car won’t start. The auxillary stuff comes on but the engine wont turn over. Any ideas? Thanks.
Something not plugged in, or a bad switch maybe.
Hello, I just did the repair and the same thing is happening to me. Did you figure out what was wrong or causing it? Thank you
I just completed this replacement & did it with just a snub Phillips screwdriver (to remove the actual switch) and a regular flat head screwdriver to remove the panels. Works great now and the part was $75 at my local dealer. The exchange is easier if you remove the center cup holder on the Mazda 6. Not sure about other models. Good luck!
Did you have to remove the front console panels as shown, or just the center console?
Is this a safety concern? Should it be a recall?
YES! Ours died. Towed to dealer. Supposedly repaired. Took 4 tries to exit the dealership. They told us the part is sticky at first. Drove 30 miles home. Went into neutral crossing Rt 1 with no light. Death waiting to happen. Towed back to dealer. We’ll see
Hello
where exactly is this located? I want to replace it, but I cannot recognize which part of the car it is 🙂 It is somewhere near to gearbox? Under bonnet? In fuse box?
Sorry! I see now. I came here from google and didn’t realise I am looking on second subpage 🙂
Dear Sirs:
I have the same problem with my Mazda 6 AT 2.0 2015, this car use the same switch, or use another part number??
Looks like the 2015 uses the same part.
