DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a check engine light on with DTC P013A:00 stored in memory.
- DTC P013A:00: HO2S Slow response (during transition from rich to lean)
This concern may be caused by an impact from a speed-bump or other source, causing a deformation of the gasket between the exhaust manifold (WU-TWC) (A) and the TWC (B).
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
WARNING: A hot engine and exhaust system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before working on the exhaust system.
- Verify the customer concern.
- Inspect the exhaust system for a gas leak from the gasket.
- If a leak is detected from gasket, replace it with a modified part according to the instructions on MS3 online or the Workshop Manual (section 01-15 EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5]).
NOTE:
- Replace both flange nuts with new ones.
- Make sure to tighten the flange nuts to the specified torque spec.
Tightening Torque: 37.6 ft. lbf. {51 N-m}
- Verify the repair.
