Some vehicles may exhibit the accelerator pedal hinge separating from the base in cold temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius).
The accelerator pedal has been changed to increase durability.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Verify customer concern.
- Replace the accelerator pedal. Refer to MS3 online Workshop Manual section 01-13:
- CX-3 – ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- CX-5 – ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Mazda2 – ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Mazda3 – ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Mazda6 – ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
- Verify repair.
