Corrosion On The Upper Shroud

2013 CX-5 – CORROSION ON UPPER SHROUD CAUSING POOR APPEARANCE

2013 CX-5 with VINs lower than JM3KE******152861 (produced before Oct. 1, 2012)

Corrosion on the upper shroud member where the hood stopper rubber makes contact (A).

The paint surface is damaged by the hood stopper rubber, which causes corrosion and a poor appearance concern.

A protection seal has been attached to the upper shroud member to prevent paint damage.

Open the hood and verify the customer concern.
Replace the upper shroud member (A) with a modified one (with protection seal) according to the instructions on MS3 online or the Workshop Manual (section 09-10).
