2014-16 Mazda3 (Japan built 2.0L) with VINs lower than JM1BM******345755 (produced before April 6, 2016)
2014-16 Mazda3 (Mexico built 2.0L) with VINs lower than 3MZBM******310796 (produced before June 6, 2016)
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit an engine vibration and rattle noise at idle in D or R range after the engine reaches normal operating temperature. This may be caused by the orifice of the oil-filled No.3 engine mount becoming clogged with deposits generated inside, changing the damping characteristic of the engine mount. To correct the problem, the engine mount has been/will be modified.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Verify customer complaint.
- Replace the No.3 engine mount with a newly established modified part used in mass production or a previously established modified service part according to the instructions on MS3 online (ENGINE MOUNT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5]).
- Verify repair.

- The service parts and the parts used in mass production have the same performance.
- Check EPC for the part number of the original No. 3 engine mount equipped to the VIN and use the corresponding modified (new) No.3 engine mount.
