Manufacturer: Mazda North American Operations

Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain model year 2010-2011 Tribute vehicles manufactured March 3, 2009, to May 26, 2011.

On vehicles with a 3.0L engine, the Fuel Delivery Module (FDM) may crack, causing a fuel leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the FDM flange with one that has a redesigned fuel supply port, free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin December 15, 2016.

Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500.

Mazda’s number for this recall is 0416J.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
