MAZDA CONNECT UPDATE FILES

• If the software version in the vehicle (Mazda3 only) is below 31, first update MAZDA CONNECT with version 31.00.100A, then update again with version 55.00.760 or later (two step update).

• If necessary, change the file format to an “.up” extension, NOT a “.zip” extension. Make sure to select “All Files ” for “Save as type:” when saving. If left as “Compressed (zipped) Folder,” the file will be saved as a “.zip” and will not be usable.

• The Reinstall file can take over an hour to download, depending on your network speed. Due to the large file size, Mazda suggests that you download the file during shop closed hours and not wait for a customer request. Disable computer “Stand By” Mode (Settings > Control Panel > Power Management/Options > System Standby/Change when the computer sleep > Never.

CD PLAYER UPDATE FILE

• When burning the update software to a CD, make sure it is burned as a master file (closed session) and NOT a Live file (open session). If burned as a Live file, the CD player will not read it.

• Right click the CD Player Update Link below and “Save Target As” to your computer to burn to a CD. DO NOT use a DVD. The file name is “Mazda_CD_Player.ufw”.
