2014-2015 MAZDA3 – POOR FM RADIO RECEPTION

2014-2015 Mazda3 vehicles
Poor reception of the FM radio where the reception cuts in and out erratically and/or the sound volume varies by itself.
This concern may be caused by inadequate software of the Tuner and Amp Unit (TAU) or the Audio unit.
The software of the TAU and the Audio unit has been re-tuned for optimum FM radio reception.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Remove the TAU (with touchscreen) or the Audio unit (without touchscreen) and replace with a modified one according to the instructions on MS3 online or the Workshop Manual.
NOTE: When replacing the tuner and amp unit (TAU) with a new one for any reason, refer to SIRIUSXM REGISTRATION AFTER TUNER AND AMP UNIT (TAU) REPLACEMENT.
