2013-2016 CX-5 vehicles with VINs lower than JM3KE******730190 (produced before Oct. 15, 2015)
DESCRIPTION
Some customers may complain of the poor appearance of the passenger and/or driver side A-pillar trim. The lower portion of the trim may become distorted (as shown below) due to high temperatures.
To eliminate this concern, the shape of the body flange has been improved during mass-production to allow sufficient A-pillar clearance.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Verify the customer concern.
- Replace the affected side A-pillar trim(s) with a new modified service part according to the instructions on MS3 online or the Workshop Manual (section 09-17 A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
- Verify the repair.
