Dear Mazda Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Mazda Motor Corporation has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists
in certain 2021 model year CX-30 vehicles produced from September 25, 2020 through
November 9, 2020, and 2021 model year Mazda3 vehicles produced on October 22, 2020 and
October 23, 2020. If you received this notice, your vehicle is included in this Recall.
What is the problem?
Previously-installed tire valve stems may have been mixed with new parts on the supplier
assembly line. If a tire valve stem is installed into a wheel and tire assembly more than once,
damage to the valve stem sealing surfaces may occur, possibly resulting in either a slow or
sudden loss of air from an inflated tire. A sudden air leak from the tire valve stem may cause a
loss of vehicle control while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. A warning lamp and
warning message in the Multi-Information Display may notify the driver of a reduction in tire
pressure if this defect occurs.
What will Mazda do?
Protect What Is Important To You
Your Mazda dealer will replace the tire valve stems on all four wheels with new parts. The repair
will be performed at no cost to you.
How long will it take?
It will take approximately one and a half hours to complete the installation and registration of
the new tire valve stems. Mazda will provide alternate transportation, if needed, when your
vehicle is at an authorized Mazda dealership for a recall repair.
What should you do?
Mazda is concerned about your safety, and we encourage you to contact any authorized Mazda
dealer to schedule an appointment to have your Mazda vehicle repaired as soon as possible.
You do not need to bring this notice to the dealer, but it may assist in the check-in process.

Mazda Motor Corporation ha determinado que existe un defecto relacionado con la seguridad de los vehículos de motor en algunos modelos CX-30 2021, producidos desde el 25 de septiembre de 2020 hasta el 9 de noviembre de 2020 y Mazda3 2021, producidos desde el 22 al 23 de octubre de 2020. Si ha recibido este aviso, su vehículo está incluido en esta campaña de seguridad.
¿Cuál es el problema? Vástagos de válvulas de neumáticos usados pueden haberse mezclados con piezas nuevas en la línea de ensamblaje del proveedor. Si el vástago de la válvula del neumático se instala en un aro con neumático más de una vez, pueden producirse daños en las superficies de sellado del vástago de la válvula, lo que posiblemente resulte en una pérdida lenta o repentina de aire de un neumático inflado. Una fuga repentina de aire del vástago de la válvula del neumático puede causar una pérdida de control del vehículo mientras se conduce, lo que aumenta el riesgo de un accidente. As previously outlined in the dealer notification on February 25, Mazda will now officially launch and notify all
unrepaired owners by U.S. Mail beginning tomorrow, April 6, 2021 and all vehicles will be in Open status.
Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a Safety Recall impacting certain MMVO built 2021 CX-
30 and 2021 Mazda3 vehicles. Please see the description, model, model year and VIN Ranges below.

STOP DELIVERY: There are currently 128 vehicles in dealer inventory under Recall 47 21 B. These vehicles
cannot be delivered to customers until the vehicle is repaired. Parts are available to repair all customer
vehicles and dealer vehicles in inventory. Parts can be ordered from the Limited Parts Ordering (LPO) Page.
Concern Outline:
Previously-installed tire valve stems may have been mixed with new parts on the supplier assembly line. If a
given tire valve stem is installed into a wheel and tire assembly more than once, damage to the valve stem
sealing surfaces may occur, possibly resulting in either a slow or sudden loss of air from an inflated tire. A
warning lamp and warning message in the Multi-Information Display may notify the driver of a reduction in tire
pressure if this defect occurs. A sudden air leak from the tire valve stem may cause a loss of vehicle control
while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
For all subject vehicles:
All four tire valve stems will be replaced on the vehicle with new parts.
Important Safety Notice:
The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act prohibits the delivery of any subject vehicle without
performing the necessary repair for defects or failures. Failure to perform applicable recalls before delivery can
result in extensive dealer fines and penalties from the Federal Government. Therefore, you must complete
this recall for all affected vehicles in your inventory prior to delivery.

STOP DELIVERY: There are currently 341 vehicles in dealer inventory under Recall 4721B. These vehicles cannot be delivered to customers until the vehicle is repaired. The parts necessary for these repairs are currently not available. MC is working with the supplier to expediate the availability. When supply is received at the MNAO PDC’s a sales order will be processed for dealers with affected VINs in their inventory. The vehicle inventory list will be available on MGSS by February 26, 2021.
