2014-2015 MAZDA3 – CLICKING NOISE FROM CLOCK SPRING WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL

Clicking noise from the clock spring when turning the steering wheel.

 

This is caused by an internal interference of the clock spring.

 

REPAIR PROCEDURE

  1. Replace the clock spring with a modified one (with grease applied) according to the instructions on MS3 online or the Workshop Manual (section 08-10).
