MAZDA CONNECT REBOOTS CONSTANTLY

If you encounter a customer concern of a MAZDA CONNECT system constantly rebooting on 2015 or 2016 Mazda, perform the following steps:

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes.
  2. Reconnect the negative battery cable and recheck the system.
    • If there is no change in the symptoms, go to next step.
    • If the system now works properly, update it to the latest software version and return the vehicle to the customer.
  3. Replace the CMU.
  4. After replacing the CMU, ensure the MAZDA CONNECT system is updated to the latest version.
  5. Park the car in the sun for 1 hour with the windows closed.
  6. Test drive for 1-2 miles without opening the windows, but turn on the A/C if needed.
    • If the replacement CMU does not reboot, return the vehicle to the customer.
    • If the replacement CMU does reboot, contact Hotline for further instructions.
