2017 MX-5 – RETRACTABLE FASTBACK DOES NOT OPERATE IF PARKED ON STEEP INCLINE
The power retractable fastback will not operate if the vehicle is parked on a steep incline. The normal operating range of the retractable hardtop is between -15° (front end down) and +15° (front end up).
If the power retractable fastback does not operate within the normal operating range (between -15° to +15°), inspect/repair the system according to the instructions found on MS3 online.
Note: Other operation conditions are mentioned in the owners manual.
